Sea Salt with Rosa Rugosa

Every summer, my daughter and I walk the shores of Matinicus Island picking beach rose petals by hand. Rosa Rugosa grows wild here, blooming along the coast, and we gather them throughout the season while they're at their most fragrant.

Those petals are blended with our pure Matinicus sea salt to create something special, a finishing salt with a delicate floral note that's as much about the place it came from as the food it goes on. Sprinkle it over fresh fish, salads, chocolate, or my favorite vanilla ice cream.
