Matinicus Salt Farm started from a love of food, sustainability and Matinicus Island.  I wanted to craft a high quality product that expresses those passions. This wild sea salt is 100% solar evaporated, a slow process that takes weeks to form mineral rich salt crystals that are hand harvested in small batches.

The high mineral content and crystal structure of our salt gives it a distinctive bold, bright and briny flavor and crunchy texture that enhances any dish. You can use this hand crushable salt for finishing, cooking, brining, curing, and everything between.  Free of any chemicals, dyes or anti-caking agents. 

Our 16oz compostable bag is great for the passionate chef, home cook or for refilling your salt cellars. The bag is 100% home compostable and the logo stamp is made with certified compostable and vegan ink.
